Homework: Feb 13

Today we discussed to use of Social Media and hashtags.

We pretended were characters from Hiroshima who were posting events of our lives before, during and after Little Boy hit Hiroshima.

We posted Tweets summarizing sections of text we read from Hiroshima.

Homework: February 6 and 7

Hello everyone!

Feb 6th and 7th we  will be reading about Mr. Tanimoto.  Mr. Tanimoto is one of the 6 characters from Hiroshima.  As we learn about Mr. Tanimoto, we realize he is a self-less man who goes out of his way to help others.

For homework:  Each day pick one person you think is helpful and/trustworthy.  (Please pick a different person for each day)

Today we reviewed the elements of the text Hiroshima.

For Homework: Below is a list of activities you can do at home in your community.  Remember, we read books like Hiroshima and Night to remind ourselves that we are all human.

Level 1: Pick 3 activities
Level 2: Pick 4 activities
Level 3: Pick 5 activities

Activity List:
  • Meditate 
  • Make/cook something new
  • Talk a walk with a family member and make a scrap book of your favorite places to visit
  • Start a new book
  • Watch a new tv show or movie on a topic that interest you (I love cooking shows)
  • Take a picture of someone important to you.  Be sure to capture them in way that shows us why you picked them 
  • Listen to a song from another country.  What does it make you think of?
  •  Make a list of goals you have for yourself for the up coming semester
