Week 5: Summer School

Reminders: 

Geometry: Sum of all the angles of a polygon is (n-2) x 180, where n is the number of side of the polygon.  The sum of all exterior angles equal 360 degrees.  We will continue to work with this information throughout the week. 

Algebra: when solving for an unknown, it is best to combine like terms. 

ELA: All homework is found in your regents packets.
TEA: Topic sentence, Evidence, Analyze
IDEA: Identify, Define, Evidence, Analyze

Reminders:

Algebra: On a coordinate plane, you start at the origin, (0,0,).  You move along the X-axis (left for negative, right for positive) first, and then the Y-axis (up for positive, down for negative) second.

Reminders:

A ratio is: A ratio shows the relative sizes of two or more values.
A proportion is: a mathematical comparison between two numbers
 
Here is a video to help explain proportion.

When taking a regents text, read the text twice.  Use the lines given to help you answer the questions.  Try to use context clues and reading an unknown words and use to process of elimination when you are unsure of the answer.  TRY YOUR BEST! 

Read for 30-60 minutes each night, it will boost your vocabulary, writing, and reading level.

An Inscribed angle is an angle in which the vertex is a point of the edge of the circle.
