An idiom is a saying that help explain things about life.
The phrases are often times silly and can create a picture in you head.
For example: It's raining cats and dogs
Does this mean it is really raining cats and dogs? No, it means that it is raining really hard.
For homework: Write the meaning of the following idioms below.

Level 2:
1. A penny for your thoughts
2. You are the apple of my eye

Level 3:
1. Curiosity killed the cat
