In Rituals of Memory, Kimberly Blaeser states that she has two educations. One, is more formal and is found in a school setting. The other, is more about experiences and adventures she has with her family. Neither one is better than the other.
For Homework: Answer the following questions. Talk with someone at home and see what their answer is to the same question.
Level 1: Name two of your favorite teachers (they do not need to be from school). What do you like about them? What do you dislike about them? What did they teach you?
Level 2: Compare and contrast two of your favorite teachers (they do not need to be from school). How are they the same? How are they different?
Level 3: Compare and contrast two of your favorite teachers (they do not need to be from school). How are they the same? How are they different? What is the most important lesson you have learned from each of them?
