For homework: Today we discussed the three main reasons why author's write:
1. To inform (newspaper, DIY books, recipes)
2. To persuade (opinion pieces, commercials, ads)
3. To entertain (comics, posters, fiction text)
Level 1: Find two different pieces of text in your home or in your community. Identify why the author wrote the text.
Level 2 and 3: Provide an example of each form of writing. Explain your reasoning and thinking.
